2008 Package Bees and Nucs

We are happy to be able to offer package bees and a limited number of nucs this year:

We are now taking reservations for 2lb packages. 

2lb Package - $67, Pickup Only, Payment in full due upon order.
These packages are are trucked in from california, typically the first shipment is the 1st week of April though the timing will vary depending on the weather.  Queens will most likely be Carniolian though they may be Russion.  We cannot guarantee which we will receive.  In previous years the queens in the first shipment have been Carniolian from Kona Queens in Hawii.  We have been very happy with these packages in the past.  In 2007 all packages we installed the 3rd week of April produced more than 80lbs of honey each by August, and most put on an additional super of honey on the goldenrod flow.


5 Deep Frame Nucs or 7 Medium Frame Nucs
We will have a limited number of nucs available for 2008 starting in late may.  They are $90 each and will be stocked with our bees and a new 2008 marked NWC queen.  Because we are switching to medium frames only for all boxes including the brood chamber, the number of deep frame nucs will be limited.  Medium frame nucs will have more frames to make up for the loss in comb space.  Pickup only.
