Beginners beekeeping Class - Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks
The Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks will present a free beginning beekeeping class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.Anyone interested in bees is welcome to attend.
The class is designed to assist those without bee experience in acquiring equipment and bees and maintaining hives that will produce a honey crop.
Instruction will include an introduction to bees, bee races and castes; sources of bees; sources and assembly of equipment; hiving packages and swarms; harvesting honey; and more.
